Meh Acevedo
- Personal Coach, Mentor, Guide, Support
Hello there and welcome to Fill Your Cup!
Thank you for taking the time to search for ways to fill your cup today. My name is Meh and I've come to realize how far 15 minutes can take for someone to share what is on their mind, along with some burdens during my time as a Student Graduation Advocate with the Washoe County School District. All it takes is asking how they are.
I listen compassionately and really hear what is on that person's mind to make a connection with them. I have lived a full life and have experienced my fair share of generational trauma, poverty and financial burdens to build that connection and relate to them.

These connections then transform to building trust. By trusting me with their vulnerabilities, their truth and their past, we are able to build a support system. Let's not wait any longer to get you the support, the guidance, and the mentorship you are seeking from a compassionate, empathetic professional, yet personal coach today.
Why trust me?

Why trust me?
Anyone can be a coach, mentor, guide or a support system. So, why choose me to place your trust in?
I am currently graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno in Fall of 2024 with a bachelor's of science in public health degree. I plan on continuing my education by pursuing a master's degree in social work. A little about my education - public health focuses on prevention methods and social work focuses on treatment methods.
When you come to me for support, I will not just find you a temporary solution, but rather help guide you to develop a lifelong skill. I plan on really getting to know someone from the day they were born to their plans until the end of time. This is how we get to the core of a person's purpose and meaning of life. By getting to know YOU, we can discuss unforeseen circumstances and create back up plans as a prevention method while working on the reason for your visit (treatment method).

Professionally, I have worked for entities such as the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, the Federal Disability Court, AmeriCorps, University of Nevada, Reno, Washoe County School District and the State of Nevada Health and Human Services. I can say I have finally found my footing!

The students whom I have worked with in the school district have shared many struggles and through those struggles, I have found my strength.
My strength is to share the life skills I've learned from being a child of immigrants, from translating medical, financial and government resources to my parents, teaching myself throughout school in a new language, constantly being at war with my Bengali side from my American side, being married off at 15, forced having a baby at 18, finding the courage to divorce in a culture where it's a taboo, being outcasted from my community for falling in love with someone outside of the culture, being a single mom at 22 and being back in school at 30. If you are seeking empathy and truly finding someone who can relate and understand your struggles, trust me...I can.

Let's make this easier on you and pave a detour so you don't have to struggle as much as someone like me has. I know how privileged one has to be to start pouring into their own cups but privilege only comes to those who work for it, if you're not born into it. If you don't know where to start, I can help!
